I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. It’s easy. Just click “Edit Text” or double click me to add your own content and make changes to the font. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.
The last time I visited home, there was a huge racket over my sisters’ missing eyeliner. It thoroughly confused me. I came back from that trip feeling like a saint, thinking, “I would never react that way if I lost something,” and “I’m not attached to material objects.”
I swung open my hostel room and immediately noticed the number of things I had. Objects on objects in every direction
If I really was ‘Oh so detached’, why did I own so much?
I then decided to start taking pictures of the objects in my room every now and then, on a quest to understand why I keep things with no daily use in my life.
What is it about things that we hold so close to heart?

I followed through with this exercise for a few months and found answers quickly.
Some things were of no use: practical or sentimental, and they were immediately Mary Kondo-ed out of my life.
However, the vast majority of the objects I own are fragments of my life; if you put them together, you will see who I am.

These items are all pieces of my past, present, and future.
The empty photo frame reminds me of the pictures that I once lovingly placed in it. A chapter now closed.
The ghungroos on my table center me.
The blank piece of paper hanging over my table with ‘ACTION PLAN 2023’ scrawled on it awaits what comes next.

The lights snap on, brighter and brighter. I revel in their warmth. Bells on my feet and a wooden floor echoing the sound of movements. I exit and come back to the real world, a world with no melody, but a sound box; no lights, but electricity; no costumes, but sets and makeup.
I have worn many hats and been in many shoes, I have worked off stage as an organiser and on stage as a performer: this is who I am.
Growing up around amatuer artists it was natural for me to fall in love and explore the world of visuals and design.
After joining The National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh, I stumbled into textiles and have grown an attachment to the tactile medium. Especially with my evergreen love for saris.
